GEORGE FREEMAN recorded this big city soul style beat ballad for the West Coast, Los Angeles Valiant record label. The sound is typical of the northern/rare soul scene being steered towards the uptown, slower soul productions of the early sixties. Written by Bodie Chandler and Edward McKendry, arranged by Perry Botkin Jr. and distributed by Warner Brothers.Freeman had two other releases for Barry De Vorzon and Billy Sherman's Valiant label (1960-67). He also recorded several 45's for the following record labelsGARDENA (1962)BAYTOWN (1962)VALIANT (1963-64)SHOUT (1966)OKEH (1969)EPIC (1969-1971)KOOL (early 70's) CONNOISSEUR 'Down and Out' flip Ronni 'In the Night'
