Same with me - after hearing it once on AM years ago, I could find it nowhere. Thank you so much for bringing it to us. It is simply lovely.

Her father Richard, and my grandfather, M.K. were both working somgwriters at Warners during the same-time. I never had the pleasure of meeting her, or her late sister Barbara, but because of her close-association with some of the best tune-smiths that ever-breathed, Margaret Whiting knows, better than anyone, how to treat a lyric with respect. I am so pleased I ran-across this: it envelopes a whole-era of music (which was then closing) with tendress, warmth and affection. R.J.

Your guess is as good as mine, tootall. The song eluded me for years, after hearing it on a local AM radio station. I finally tracked it down. It is, in my opinion, one of the best interpretations of ANY of the tin pan alley songs of the era.

I'd hardly heard of Ms. Whiting; I stubbled onto this beautiful recording. Absolutely stunning; why was it not released and why is it not known to the general public? This chick could sing. I've listened to some of her other "big" hits and they suck compared to this. It's her voice and the arrangement; only hope some upcoming movie uses this as background and thereby introduces it to a new generation.
